Dear Gabriel,

I was just thinking that it must nice to sleep and eat all day and I wanted to tell you to make the most of it because you will grow sooner than you think and before you know it Mumy and Daddy will have you on this programme called "Naps" which doesnt allow you to totally space out all the time....you just get to do every so often.

Also as you open your eyes and start looking about you more things will change from being black and white to well.......brighter and more beautiful adults use a word to describe this and its often called "colourful". I remember many days that your Mummy and I played together when we were little girls and when you get a bit older I will tell you some of the games we played in the shcool holidays......opppppppssssssss I said the "s" word......ok sorry I wont say it again for at least another 4 years which is when you will be ready to hear more about it. Mean while lay back and enjoy yourself..... you'll find the more you smile the more everyone else smiles.....but dont worry if you cry, commit other acts of indiscretion, or even snore because Mummy and Daddy will be there to give you lots of hugs and kisses no matter what.
